Hello from Japan.  These earrings are made of pinkish freshwater pearls with maki-e lacquer. The upper half is covered with layers of Shu (Red) Urushi lacquer and gold powders to create a base, and then finely sprinkled flowers on top of it. The lower half of the pearl is left as it is, showing a contrast with the massive, brocade-like maki-e.

The luster of the pearls and urushi lacquer will adorn your ears.
