Kutani Yaki Manekineko, Kissho Mori Akafuji
This beckoning cat embracing Akafuji was created with the outstanding techniques of Kutani Yaki. The gorgeous colors and auspicious motifs bring a quality flair to your space. Kikko-zari" refers to an assortment of traditional Japanese patterns of good fortune. All the patterns have auspicious meanings. The blue ocean waves depicted at the cat's feet ward off bad luck and bring peace, based on the idea that water can wash away misfortune. The crane and turtle on the front symbolize longevity, and the two characters of Fuji on Mt. Fuji mean “immortality,” thus expressing the wish for longevity. The Kutani Yaki beckoning cat, which is filled with such auspicious patterns, is not only a symbol of good luck, but also a highly valuable item of art. It is also a beautiful item for interior decoration.
