Kazahana (“Wind-Blossom”) is a Kutani ware bud vase that captures the quiet beauty of spring.
Artist Toshiko Tada gently reinterprets tradition with soft brushwork and pale hues, depicting cherry blossoms with restraint and grace.
The faceted form subtly reflects light and shadow, allowing the vase itself to become part of the scenery.
Unlike the bold colors typical of Kutani ware, this piece embraces simplicity—leaving space for nature to breathe. A single flower is enough to complete it.
Balanced between tradition and freedom, decoration and stillness, this bud vase brings a calm, poetic presence to everyday living—beautiful with or without flowers.
