“Matcha Haze” is a Kasama ware bud vase created by ceramic artist Masami Kobayashi, inspired by the calm atmosphere of misty mountain mornings.

Using an airbrush technique, layers of matcha-green glaze softly fade from top to bottom, creating a gentle gradient reminiscent of drifting fog. On the front surface, abstract line-carved patterns emerge subtly beneath scattered white dots, evoking dew resting on quiet grasses. The design leaves generous visual space, inviting reflection and calm.

The vase has a solid weight and stable form, allowing a single seasonal flower to transform the surrounding space. Its muted tones and sculptural presence harmonize effortlessly with both Japanese and Western interiors.
