Every detail—from the feather patterns to the subtle dots around the neck—is carefully shaped and painted by Teruaki Tanaka, a master woodcarver with over 60 years of experience. Lightweight and smooth to the touch, this brooch adds a touch of nature and storytelling to your outfit, whether pinned to your chest, hat, or bag.

Tanaka-san moved to Obihiro, Hokkaido 20 years ago to be closer to wild birds and fine woods. Surrounded by the vast skies and fresh northern winds, he continues to craft these small bird sculptures as living poems in wood—each brooch capturing the fleeting presence of birds in nature.
