Hello from Japan. This is a soup mag/coffee mug with Demon (Oni) paint. Demon is Oni in Japanese. Since ancient times, “Oni” have been a part of the everyday life of the common people in Japan. When we try to unravel the thoughts of people in ancient times, it seems that Oni were thought of as beings filled with spiritual power that lived in the other world (deep mountains or distant islands in the sea).
