Cloisonne enamel ware is a craft in which a glassy glaze is baked onto a metal base (mainly copper plate) at a high temperature of 800°C. 　The word “cloisonne” is a Buddhist term meaning beautiful colors and brilliance as if scattered with seven jewels.
